Malang, 05 June 2024 - Department of Informatics , University of Muhammadiyah Malang successfully held an International symposium with the theme "Empowering Virtual Metaverse Technology". This event was attended by a total of 198 participants, consisting of 36 lecturers from abroad, 43 lecturers from within the country, as well as 92 students from within the country and 27 students from abroad.
Christian Natamado Simanullang, Director of MyAmerica, and the American Consulate General Surabaya, Nur Putri Hidayah, A.MD., SH., MH, M. Ali Fauzi, Ir. Agus Eko Minarno, S.Kom., M.Kom, IPM, Dr. Mario Soflano, Luyi Sun, Risky Lestiono, and Dr. Nur Subeki, ST., MT., and Ahmad Faiz, participated in making this activity a success by becoming keynote speakers.
Apart from that, this event was also proud to present dari as a UMM product, which was introduced directly by Imelda Azaliya Rahma, an active UMM student, as CEO of dari UMM itself.
The activity which took place on Thursday, 25 May 2024, confirmed the Department of Informatics commitment to deepening metaverse technology. It is hoped that this event will open up opportunities for the UMM Informatics Study Program to continue to achieve achievements and support the development of PADA products and other activities.
