Informatics

 

Department Informatics University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) was established in 2005 with a Decree (SK) Establishment number 647 / D / T / 2005 dated March 3, 2005. Then, the operating license was extended based on Operational Decree number 7638 / D / T / KVII / 2011 dated June 13, 2011. The Informatics Engineering study program of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with a rating of B in 2014 which was approved by the issuance of the Accreditation Decree number 377 / SK / BAN- PT / Akred / S / IX / 2014. Structurally, Department Informatics is under the auspices of the Faculty of Engineering along with 4 (four) other S1 study programs, namely Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.

The Informatics is experiencing very rapid development. In general, the interest of student applicants from year to year is quite high and has become one of the favorite study programs at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Curriculum development is adapted to scientific needs, the needs of graduate users and student interests with managed 4 (four) areas of interest, namely:

1. Software Engineering
2. Smart Game
3. System and Network Security
4. Data Science

Laboratory development has been carried out so as to achieve the minimum requirements for student practicum activities with the availability of 6 (six) laboratory rooms. Informatics has been trusted by various parties in scientific development, this is evidenced by the formation of alliances and partnerships between the Departmen Informatics with various parties such as:

1. Asosiasi Perguruan Tinggi Ilmu Komputer (APTIKOM)
2. Indonesia Honeynet Project
3. Technical Forum Group Discussion
4. Data Science Indonesia (DSI)
5. Domestic and foreign Universities
